Yamir Talks Life After Reality Show, ‘Party Love’ & 2016 Goals | VIDEO
It was nerve-racking leaving the country where he was born and raised, let alone, the country where he was an established well-known artist. Not knowing what the future held, Yamir Castillo Ocampo took the risk and moved from Nicaragua to the United States, where he made a living with his wife Chelsea in Galesburg, Illinois.

But Yamir and Chelsea are no new face, as the two were part of TLC’s reality show “90 Day Fiance.” The 27-year-old Nicaraguan artist and Chelsea met and dated in Nicaragua prior to applying for the K-1 Visa. They were one of the most beloved couples on the TLC series second season that aired in 2014.
Today, Yamir is still married to the love of his life and pursuing his music career. “My music is very positive,” he told Pulso POP. “I want to send a vibrant energy with my music. I want my fans to feel all the fun that’s happening in the recording studios,” he added.
His single, “Party Love,” has been making the rounds since earlier this year. According to Yamir, he wrote the song with the help of his wife, who’s always been supportive of his career. “After ‘Party Love,’ I plan to make more music,” he said, stating that two new singles are on the way: “Hasta El Amanecer” and “Sin Temor.” He also wants to line up more concert events for 2016. “I was part of the Iowa Latino Festival and it was a success.”

Though he’s accomplished a lot in 2015, Yamir hopes the new year opens many doors for his career. “I’m working hard in Chicago and all of Illinois. A lot of DJs in the area support me,” he said. “I think next year will be a good year for me.” Check out out exclusive interview above!
