In 2017 Wolfine dropped his single Bella without knowing people around the world would become obsessed with it. “Truthfully, nobody really expects a hit,” he told PulsoPOP. “Personally, I enjoy doing music, that’s my life. I’m always in the studio making music and that’s where my ideas come from and I do everything with love without thinking if it’s going to be a hit or not.”
Those who have followed his career in the past 18 years know that Bella is a whole different sound to Wolfine.
“My songs from the early 2000 were so different because they’re versatile and I come from the streets and I’ve always kept it real,” he said. “But with Bella, I wanted to do something different so that everyone of all ages can listen to it. I wanted people from all over the world to fall in love with urban music. I think that was its success besides its Latino sounds.”
He and his producers tested their luck and it’s true—people from all over the world love this song. Just ask Maluma, Wolfine’s compatriot and colleague, who recently joined the Bella hype and dropped a remix together. Watch the music video here.
