Will Los Dinos join J.Lo for Selena Quintanilla tribute at Latin Billboards?

The word is officially out and everyone is ecstatic for Jennifer Lopez’s upcoming tribute to Selena Quintanilla at the 2015 Billboard Latin Music Awards. But the new word on the street is that the Puerto Rican songstress will be joined on stage by Selena’s band, Los Dinos. Yes, Bidi Bidi Bom Bom! I had a mini stroke also!

The news was released by Quintanilla’s own brother A.B., who at a recent concert stated to his fans: “I think it’s important you guys hear this first.”

“History is going to happen again, history just happened in Corpus but it’s gonna happen again,” he recalled on the sold-out first annual Fiesta de la Flor festival.

“On April the 30th, at the Billboard awards live from Miami,” he began. “I’ll be playing bass with J.Lo on stage. So will Suzette, and so will Chris Perez, all three of us. Look out for that, it’ll be amazing,” he said.

The proof lives on a YouTube video launched early this week, which has already garnered over 5k views.

Lopez did an impeccable job portraying the late Queen of Tejano in the 1997 biopic. And in many interviews has stated that Quintanilla opened many doors for her.

“J.Lo really does appreciate everything Selena has done for her, we know that for a fact,” A.B. continued with his big announcement.

“When you hear people say she doesn’t, she remembers. She knows where she came from,” he said before stating that it’s a good day for la raza.

The singer and actress will perform a musical tribute to honor the late “Como La Flor” singer at the upcoming Billboard Latin Music Awards, airing live on Telemundo April 30.
