Soufrito Music Fest 2019: Farina, Ozuna, Farruko & More in New York [VIDEO + PHOTOS]
The 2019 Soulfrito Music Fest brought together 14,500 people to rejoice, cheer, and celebrate chart-topping music by selling out the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Friday, August 30th. The NYC-based Latino-owned event has become a one-of-one staple that unifies cultures. Soulfrito Music Fest continued the legacy as the world’s first-ever urban Latin music festival — with its experiential focus on urban youth culture, by bridging between African American and Latino Millennials and Gen Z multicultural communities, and artists.
On Friday night, Soulfrito Music Fest raised the roof of the Atlantic Avenue venue for over four memorable hours and presented a mash-up of Latin trap and hip-hop acts. The event marked the third year of the festival’s New York location. Soulfrito Music Fest is the first of its kind, and scale ever to be produced in the city — blending American hip-hop with Latin artists. The show featured a mega-all-star cast MC’d by DJ Camilo, DJ Enuff, Lobo, AJ El Kallejero, Ken Starrz, Dee Nasty, Sasha Merci, and Bernice Burgos. Soulfrito Music Fest kicked off performances by Jeremih, El Alfa, Ala Jaza, Duki, Melii, Jay Critch, Myke Towers, MoMo, Justina Valentine, Blueface, Pop Smoke, Alex Sensation and Farina, who all ignited the party. To add, Ozuna, Gunna, and Arcangel were a few of the fan favorites. This event marked a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see these performers all under one roof.
