Why Romeo Santos identifies perfectly with his ‘Furious 7’ role

Romeo Santos’ movie debut is just around the corner, but first let me introduce you to Armando.

You see, Armando is Santos’ role in the forthcoming movie Furious 7 set to premiere April 3rd.

Joining Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez and the rest of the Fast & Furious cast is a new milestone in the bachata singer’s career, as it’s the first time he stars in a motion picture.

Though I must admit, that his acting in his music videos is on point! 

In a recent interview with Screen Slam, Santos, 33, described his character Armando as a kind-hearted soul with good intentions.

“My character gives a lending hand to a brother, a friend, because they need my help,” he said of Armando, later stating that he can identify to his role and that’s why jumping on board the film was easy.

“The role was not too far away from my persona as an artist,” he said. “As Anthony I am shy and reserved, but my alter ego Romeo is very similar to Armando because we’re powerful and confident.”

The Dominican superstar, who admitted to Screen Slam that he’s been a fan of the Fast & Furious series since the beginning, said it was the perfect fit and an honor to form part of the project.
