The word is out: Raquel Sofia does not like to sing about love but when she does, she pours her heart out in a song that’s less than four minutes—and PulsoPOP got the exclusive deets.
Antes de Ti (Before You) is a heartfelt song that forms part of her recent album “2:00 A.M.” released in January via Sony Latin record label. Although the song is clearly an ode to love, it wasn’t until she surprised fans with a live studio session that we learned the real story behind it.

“I don’t tend to write songs about love,” the Puerto Rican singer fessed up during the sesh. “My things are [writing songs about] spite, lack of love, and broken hearts. But once in a while I have sensible moments and write songs like this.”
In celebration of her 2018 album release and as a gift to her loyal fans, the Latin GRAMMY nominated singer-songwriter has been releasing live video performances for the past month, including the video premiere of “Antes de Ti” on PulsoPOP. She’s also been interacting with her fans through the hashtag #SesionesDe2Am.

Fresh off of her performance at Los Dells Festival during Labor Day Weekend, Raquel Sofia will perform in Puebla, Mexico on Friday, Sept. 7, and soon in her Isla del Encanto, Puerto Rico.
