Happy Bday Paulina Rubio! Watch ‘La Chica Dorada’s’ solo debut in 1992!

Straight out of a rotating device, wearing a gold, glittery mini skirt, cropped top and jacket, all while flaunting an ’80s inspired hairdo —that’s exactly how Paulina Rubio –then 21 years old– made her big solo debut in 1992 on the popular variety show “Siempre en Domingo.”

Ever since, she’s been rocking out nonstop, selling over 40 million records worldwide, winning awards show, judging talents on “The X Factor” and being a mother of one.

That’s why we celebrate “La Chica Dorada’s” 44th birthday wednesday in the most awesome way ever —with a true throwback! We know, it’s not #TBT, but it is #WCW, and we’ve been crushing hard on Pau ever since her Timbiriche days in the late ’80s.

With her mother and grandmother in the audience, the Mexican songstress made her solo debut on “Siempre en Domingo,” where she sang her songs “Amor de Mujer” and “Mio,” and announced the launch of her first-ever studio album “La Chica Dorara.”
