Nova shows a different side in ‘No Voy A Llorar Por Ti’ | VIDEO
With over 20 years in the biz, Nova “La Amenaza” is no new face in the music scene. The Puerto Rican artist, who began his career in 1996 and formed part of the duo Nova & Jory from 2003 to 2013, is now kicking it off as a solo artist.
Nova has got new music and fresh sounds up his sleeves, and assures his fans that it’s something way different than what they’re used to.

“The surprise I have is that it’s a new Nova, way different of what used to be Nova & Jory,” he said to Pulso POP about embarking his solo career. “I had many goals and accomplished them. I continue to work nonstop.”
The singer is currently making the rounds with his single “No Voy a Llorar Por Ti,” from his forthcoming debut solo album “El Subestimado” (The Underrated) —which he says will be the first of many albums in his career.
“[The single] has a lot of feeling and it’s something that can happen to a man and a woman. You cheated on me and now I have someone better,” he said of his new jam, stating he got inspired to write the song from personal experiences.

Forming part of his album is also the single “Amiga,” in which he collaborates with Ken-Y. Though he’s got the support of many colleagues, Nova expressed that he’d like to collaborate with two of his greatest friends. “I’ve already collaborated with many artists, but I’d like to collaborate with Don Omar and with Daddy Yankee again —he’s a good friend of mine,” he said.
