Meet Nicki Nicole: Argentina’s Next Promising Gem [VIDEO]

One of Argentina’s hottest new stars Nicki Nicole is topping the charts with her most recent single “Colocao” reaching the #1 spot in the Spotify, Deezer and YouTube TOP 50 in Argentina. Nicki continues her meteoric rise in the music industry as “Colocao” positions itself in the TOP 5 in Uruguay, Paraguay, México, Chile, Perú, Ecuador, Costa Rica and Guatemala; TOP 10 in Spain and Colombia.

In less than 24 hours the rising star was trending on YouTube in 14 countries (Argentina, Uruguay, España, Paraguay, Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mexico, Guatemala, Colombia, Panama y Honduras), with the new single “Colocao” surpassing the million views and reaching the #6 position on YouTube on the Global Charts.

NICKI states that the song comes from a free and open creative process: “In COLOCAO I play with the vocals, with different tones. We experimented with new rhythms and melodies. I was inspired, I flowed with the beat and I felt COLOCAO like Drake.”

Once again, she combines simmering soul, slick R&B, and Latin spirit on the irresistible anthem. “Colocao” illustrates her signature sound and her unmistakable voice and flow.

The video was filmed under quarantine in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Filmed under extraordinary circumstances and not having the usual resources, Nicki, shot the video with the help of her brothers and worked long distance on the direction through video calls.

“What inspired me to release the song was the personal challenge. I wanted to push myself under the limitations of being in quarantine of recording the song and then shooting the video. I did not want to put a stop to my desire to release the song” Nicki stated.

The song was produced by renowned Argentinian producers: Facundo Yalve and Bizarrap. The single cover was designed by Lito Designs. The video was directed and edited by Jessica Praznik and Mariana Point. Luke Di Rago was tasked with the Video FX. The video was shot and produced by Guido and Kevin Cucco.

19-year-old Nicki Nicole emerged as Argentina’s fastest rising talent last year. Her breakthrough anthem “Music Sessions #13” with Bizarrap ascended to the Top 10 across numerous Latin American countries, peaking at #3 in Argentina.
