Cristofer Cerros, 31, artistically known as Mister Meli, is an aspiring urban star who fell in love with the empowering lyrics in the single and decided to give it his own special touch.
“I had a song written called ‘Centro America’ and I felt that Gustavo’s song was the missing link to mine,” Meli said to Pulso POP of the collaboration.
In an attempt to raise awareness of the country’s social issues, Meli, who migrated to the U.S. in 1998, returned to Nicaragua to film a lively video of the remix alongside Bucardo.
“I liked the song so much that I decided to do a video. It was filmed by Ronald Soza in my hometown of Achuapa in Leon,” he said.
