We can’t get over on how hot Maluma is in person! Yes, we’re totally fan girling over the Colombian urban artist after catching him in the “TV and the Music Star” Panel at the 2015 Billboard Latin Music Conference held Tuesday in Miami, Fla.

One of our favorite moments of the panel was when the “Temperatura” singer talked about his relationship with Instagram. And in case you haven’t noticed, he has nearly 3.5 million followers on the social media platform.

“I didn’t even know what Instagram was, but my first post was a selfie. Then I saw the huge feedback and I figured that it was the best way to have communication with my fans. Then you were able to do videos, and I was shy at first because people know me through my music videos and performances, not a home-made video. I watched my first Instagram video like 50 times before posting it, because I wasn’t sure about it. Then, I just started uploading them one after the other because I noticed that people like those type of things. I love having that connection with my fans and I think the key to having a lot of followers is being yourself.”
