Kat De Luna Makes Empowering Comeback With ‘Nueva Actitud’ [VIDEO]

The Dominican singer, songwriter and dancer now joins pioneer urban artist, Arcángel, for her first Latin Trap single, “Nueva Actitud.” Produced by JAC, SKILLS and Caribbean Boyz, the track is a hymn for women and everyone to defend what they believe. De Luna combines the old school of Latin music with the new to create a hymn that will become part of a movement.

Directed by Lanz Pierce, the new video was recorded in Brooklyn, New York. The avant-garde video represents the empowerment of women and a combination of self-confidence, a fierce attitude and an individual style. Throughout the video, De Luna transforms while embracing her alter egos one by one with a #newattitude; living their best life, defying obstacles and breaking all stereotypes.

“I am a Dominican who grew up in the New York City area all of her life, so in my house we followed the movement,” she said of dropping a Latin Trap song. “As a musician, I used to listen to all of Playero’s albums, and I learned to sing and rap as I am doing on this song.” Then she explained: “This movement is part of me, so I knew I had to go back to the old school sound, I went to Arcangel, who embodies the new style and old-school style in this musical genre, attitude and flow that really matches the song.”
