Meet Isabel, Elena’s sister on the forthcoming Disney original animated show “Elena of Avalor.” The new animated character is voiced by Disney’s very own star Jenna Ortega. The brand new series tells the story of Princess Elena, a bold, caring, funny and clever 16-year-old who is ascendant to the throne in the fairytale kingdom of Avalor.

“I always wanted to be a Disney princess, so to be able to be a part of ‘Elena of Avalor’ and voice Princess Isabel is a dream come true,” said Ortega to Pulso POP via a statement. “I love her creativity and determination…and we both love our sisters!”

The series follows the story of Elena, who saves her kingdom from an evil sorceress and must now learn to rule with the support of her appointed Grand Council and some magical friends by her side.

Elena’s adventures will lead her to understand that her new role requires thoughtfulness, resilience and compassion, the traits of all truly great leaders, while highlighting the importance of family and family traditions.

Elena is Disney’s first Latina princess. The new Disney Channel series is set to premiere this summer.
