Jarabe De Palo’s, Pau Dones, Reveals Heartbreaking Cancer News Via Video

Jarabe de Palo’s frontman, Pau Dones, has revealed that he’s been detected with colon cancer after feeling a minor stomach ache.

“Sorry for being disconnected, but 20 days ago I went from a small stomach ache to undergoing operation for colon cancer,” he wrote on Instagram, sharing a photo of himself on a hospital bed. The 48-year-old Spanish singer, who is known for rock hits such as “Grita,” “Depende,” “Agua” and “La Flaca,” announced the heart-wrenching news via a video posted on the band’s official YouTube channel.

In video published Tuesday, Dones emphasized the following: “Cancer is like a ghost that appears out of nowhere, without warning. That’s why it’s important to always be alert.”

He also stated that the doctors caught the cancer on time before it developed to a more serious stage. The singer, who is very optimistic and grateful for all the support, let it be known that Jarabe de Palo’s 2015 fall tour is cancelled but will resume in 2016. We wish Pau a speedy recovery and can’t wait to see our all-time favorite band rock out once more!
