Eduardo Verastegui presents feel-good flick ‘Little Boy’ | VIDEO
Eduardo Verastegui is known for his extensive years in the telenovela biz –especially as Manuel Jr. in the 1998 TV hit “Soñadoras.” He also formed part of the ’90s Mexican pop group Kairo before venturing off as a solo artist. Now, the Latino heartthrob is winging it with another passion: film.

“When you’re an independent film maker, that means you do everything outside of the system,” Verastegui told Pulso POP. “You’re always hoping your movies have a great cast,” he added.
The 40-year-old Mexican produer, along with his production company Metanoia Films, is ecstatic to present his upcoming flick “Little Boy,” a heartwarming story of a young boy with the mission to reunite with his father, a WWII soldier who was captured by the Japanese.
In “Little Boy,” Verastegui takes the role of Fr. Crispin. Forming part of the film’s great cast is his good friend and colleague Kevin James, with whom he stars in “Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2.”
“I called Kevin and told him I wanted him to be part of the movie,” Verastegui said to Pulso POP.
He also noted that the American comedian was touched and in love with the script.
“Kevin said, ‘of course brother, I love your Latino community, you’re my brother and count me in,'” he added.

“Little Boy,” which also stars Emily Watson and Tom Wilkinson, will hit theaters nationwide on April 24.
