At the 2015 Billboard Latin Music Conference, the iconic Mexican guitarist and songwriter was asked about his thoughts on social media. His immediate response was: “What is that?”
After moderator Leila Cobo explained that it’s platforms such as Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, Santana had the wisest answer, ever.
“Oh yea, I use Facebook, but I use it to invite people to claim their own light, you know?,” he said at the conference. “If social media means immediate mass communication, I welcome it as long as we promote beauty, elegance, excellence, grace, integrity, compassion and kindness. If we promote that, than it’s significant. Anything else is BS.”
Well said Mr. Santana! You always know the right way to enlighten the new generation.
