Caibo: Venezuelan Duo Wants To Spread Joy Through Their Music
For the past seven years, Caibo has been all the rage in their country Venezuela. Their music is also known all around Latin America. And though they have fans in the U.S., it wasn’t until their debut on national television on “Despierta America” that the boys became known all over the states. “It’s a huge step in our career here in the United States,” Simón “Toto” Ruiz told PulsoPOP.
On the show, the boys had the opportunity to showcase their promotional single “Te Llevo en mi Corazon,” a romantic pop tune featuring Nacho (Chino & Nacho) and produced by Motiff, who has worked with Pitbull, Marc Anthony, Gente de Zona and much more.

Caibo, which are the five last letters of Maracaibo (the Venezuelan city where the boys reside), is a duo who only want to transmit joy through their music. “We’re a duo who make afro-Venezuelan music fused with pop,” said Toto. “Our songs are about love, heartbreak, Venezuela, parties and a homage to woman.”
Group member Beethzart “Bet” Acosta can agree.
“We want to send joy through our music. We want people to have fun when they listen to Caibo,” Bet said to PulsoPOP. “Latin America is about rhythm, having fun and parties. That’s what we want to communicate with our music,” he added, emphasizing that their latest single is just that —a song with captivating Caribbean beats and a lot of energy.

“We’re doing something that we’ve always wanted to do, and that’s to take our music around the world,” Bet said. Evidently, Caibo will embark a U.S. tour, where they will visit Orlando, Miami and Houston. “We’re very happy and I know that people are going to be happy as well with our presentation,” he stated.
The boys, who are currently working on a new album, want to become a household name not only in Venezuela but the rest of the world. “We want everyone to know that ‘Caibo‘ is making music with lots of love and passion,” Bet concluded.
