7 Things we felt with the Selena Quintanilla tribute by J.Lo & Los Dinos

Jennifer Lopez, as the popular Hispanic phrase says, “tiro la casa por la ventana” following her epic tribute to the late Selena Quintanilla at the 2015 Billboard Latin Music Awards Thursday night.
The awards show was probably the best yet in Billboard Latin history.

Romeo Santos and Enrique Iglesias won big, Carlos Santana and Roberto Carlos received prestige awards and there were many awesome performances, which included Lucero, Ana Gabriel, Afrojack, Juanes, Belinda and Marc Anthony.
But we must admit that the Selena tribute was single handedly the highlight of the entire event –and the rest of 2015!
Not only did the Puerto Rican singer rock a Selena-inspired outfit (sparkling bustier and all!), but she owned the stage with some of Selena’s iconic dance moves. The best part of it all, however, was Los Dinos (Suzette, A.B., Chris and Ricky), who joined Jenny from the Block in a well-deserved homage to the Queen of Tejano.

Though we absolutely LOVED the 7-minute tribute that included songs “Como La Flor,” “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom,” “Amor Prohibido,” “I Could Fall in Love” and “No Me Queda Mas,” we admit that we experienced a roller coaster of emotions.
1) First we felt nostalgic when Lopez interacted with A.B. and Chris the same exact way Selena would.
2) Then, we thought “that’s our bae!,” when Chris let loose in his guitar solo for “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom.”
3) We busted out in tears when Lopez began singing Selena’s favorite song “Amor Prohibido.”

4) In fact, watching part of Los Dinos in action again, kept us in tears.

5) The way J.Lo sang “No Me Queda Mas” with so much passion, had us like “YASSSSS!”
6)This heart warming moment between Suzette and J.Lo gave us chills down our spine.
7) And the feeling that 20 years have passed, but Selena Quintanilla has never left

Yes, we cried like babies, but they were joyful “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom” tears. It was also a very emotional moment for Los Dinos and Lopez, who following her on-point performance said “Thank you Selena.”
