There’s no winning Selena Quintanilla fans, ever. The force is just too strong and unbeatable. Because of such bond, it seems as if a Selena makeup line is on its way –thanks to, of course, the fans’ persistency.

In February, countless of Selena fans from all around the world united on social media and created a Change.org petition asking MAC Cosmetics to create a makeup collection inspired by the late Queen of Tejano. Two months later, and the hashtag #SelenaQuintanillaForMAC garnered over 30K signatures.

It seems that MAC has gotten the memo, because word on the street is that the cosmetic brand was impressed with the social media campaign and is highly considering brining this idea to life.

Perhaps a “Neutral Como La Flor” blush or “Sparkling Plum” eyeshadow palette in honor of her iconic purple jumpsuit? And how to forget her gorgeous red lips? “Amor Prohibido Red” for lipstick, maybe?

Whatever the case, a Selena Quintanilla makeup line is what every die-hard fan has been waiting for. After all, Selena’s first true passion was beauty cosmetics and fashion.

According to Univision’s TheFlama, who got the exclusive scoop, “MAC has reached out specifically to Selena’s sister, Suzette Quintanilla, about the potential makeup line.”

No other details have been revealed, but we’re pretty sure many people will be puckering up with their Selena Quintanilla for MAC lipstick any time now.

Quintanilla passed away 20 years ago on March 31st after being fatally shot by her Fan Club’s president. She was 23; Thursday, April 16th would’ve marked her 44th birthday. Her legacy, however, still beams today through her family, her music, her biopic and her devoted fans.
