Alvaro Soler Gets Real About Mental Health & Importance of ‘La Libertad’ [VIDEO]
In the midst of his European tour, Alvaro Soler took some time off to visit the 305, where his mission was to promote his latest track “La Libertad,” part of his album Mar de Colores (extended version).
“‘La Libertad’ is about being grateful for what we have in terms of freedom,” Soler told PulsoPOP. “There are so many countries that don’t have this and many times we take what we have for granted. It was important for me to send this message in my song.”
To better send his message to the masses, Soler captured the single’s essence in a laid-back, cozy and colorful music video showing him and a group of friends embarking on a road trip and enjoying their freedom. The music video, directed by Marvin Subter in Spain, currently counts with over 10 million views.
“Disconnecting for me is very important,” he emphasized. “Life is about balance and disconnecting from what your doing is very important. It keeps you focused.”
During our 1:1, Soler also talked about the extended version of his album Mar de Colores. The album includes three unreleased tracks: a very personal song titled, “Taro”, the hit single, “Loca”, and his most recent single “La Libertad”.
