‘La Reina del Sur’ S2: 13 Things You Never Knew About Kate del Castillo

The second season of “The Queen of the South,” the most ambitious project ever produced in Latin America, was filmed in 8 countries: Italy, Russia, Spain, Romania, Belize, Colombia, Mexico and the USA.

For the complete cycle of 60 episodes of the second season of “The Queen of the South”, more than 860 hours of material were filmed in 4K in more than 300 different locations. In addition, the project came to use the largest film crew in history, with more than 700 members during international production. This series required 187 actors of different nationalities, among them Spaniards, Italians, Russians, Mexicans, Colombians and Americans. In the filming 7,230 additional extras participated.

This season includes 89 action scenes filmed in different countries, and sequences can be seen in all modes of transport available: cars, trains, planes, motorcycles, hot air balloons, civil helicopters and a Blackhawk military aircraft.

La Reina del Sur returns to Telemundo at 10pm/9c on Monday, April 22nd.
