Karol G & Anuel AA: A Timeline Of Their Relationship

The secret is out: Karol G and Anuel AA are ~super confirmed~ boyfriend and girlfriend.

After months of speculation from the media and fans, the two reggaeton artists put all rumors to rest with the release of their newest collaboration “Secreto.” In the adorable homemade video, which dropped Tues. Jan. 15., we see the Colombian and Puerto Rican stars give us major #RelationshipGoals.

HOW THEY MET

In August 2018, just one month after Anuel was released from prison, Karol G and Anuel teased fans with photos of a collaboration they blessed as “Culpables.”

Karol and Anuel met for the first time during the filming of the music video, which was officially released on Sept. 13, 2018.

CULPABLES OR NOT?

The song’s sensual lyrics about an affair between the two, plus Anuel crushing hard on all of Karol’s Insta photos calling her “bebesita” had the world on edge: were they or were they not dating?!

By October 2018, the two flaunted their very close friendship, sharing varios videos and photos together on Instagram, including the time they got on the Sling Shot.

MAKING IT OBVIOUS

Also in October, Karol and Anuel performed “Culpables” live for the first time in Miami. In the clip, we see Anuel going in for a kiss and Karol dodging him, which took us back to square one: are they just friends?!

During the Latin Grammys in November 2018, Karol assured to Billboard that she and Anuel were just friends and that he was single for the ladies.

Just one day after her declarations, she made out with Anuel on stage during one of their live presentations in New York.

FESSING IT ALL

On Anuel’s birthday on November 26, both Karol and Anuel put rumors to rest declaring their love and respect for each other in two heartfelt Instagram posts, which can be read here and here.

In late December of 2018, just in time for the holidays, came the tattoos. Yup! Anuel tattooed “Carolina” on his hand and Karol tattooed “Emmanuel.”

THE SECRET IS OUT

As seen on their Instagram accounts, the lovebirds spent the holidays together in Colombia with Karol’s family. On December 30th, Karol hinted at another collaboration posting an intimate photo of the two in bed.

On January 15, the hottest couple of the moment released their new single “Secreto,” highlighting all the greatest moments of their love life in the past couple of months.
