Inspired by real-life events, “La Piloto” is a continuation of the story of Yolanda Cadena (Livia Brito), a young woman whose dream of becoming a pilot comes true, but not in the way she would have hoped. Season 2 picks up Yolanda’s story three years after the first season’s finale. Yolanda gets out of prison under the witness protection program and finds a job as a pilot with US-FLY airlines. However, on the verge of marriage and starting a family, her quiet life falls apart when the child she is hoping to adopt is kidnaped.
To recover her family, Yolanda will have to ask help from John Lucio (Arap Bethke), the same man who not only betrayed her but also broke her heart. “La Piloto” airs on at 10 p.m. ET Monday through Friday on Univision.
