Kany García Is Back To Restore Your Faith In Love ‘Para Siempre’ [INTERVIEW]
After making the rounds in 2016 with Limonada and becoming a #1 hit on Billboard‘s Top Latin Albums chart, Kany García returns with a whole different vibe. Same essence, but different vibe.
The Puerto Rican singer welcomed 2018 with a single titled Para Siempre that will most ~probably~ 100 percent restore your faith in love.

“This song has been a part of my life for many years. It’s an old song,” she fessed up to PulsoPOP. “I remember when I wrote it. I talk about things we wish happen in a relationship but it’s not always like that… forever.” The romantic ballad is a song that can easily be dedicated to your loved ones: your significant other, your family, your newborn baby.
Because of its intense love lyrics, Kany intentionally filmed the music video in the most simple way possible: oversized sweater, socks, sofa, piano, dim lighting. “The video was filmed in Spain,” she said of the visual production. “It was my intention to do a simple video so that people focus on the lyrics,” she said, adding that the video garnered over 3 million views in less than three weeks.
Para Siempre is the first single off of Kany’s upcoming album, which she promises shows a different side of her. “It’s different because I wrote all the songs,” she said. “I traveled to Puerto Rico with my entire band and took them from the stage to the studio. I’ve been with them nearly 10 yrs. They know what I want to say and how I want to say it. And people will notice that in my album,” she added, noting that this album is very mature compared the fun and happy vibes found in Limonada. “This is one of those album that you have to listen to completely to grasp the entire concept.”
In her 11-year career, the award-winning singer/songwriter has been challenged by the evolution of music. When she started making music, Latin rock was in style. When she kicked off her career, her genre, Latin pop, was dominating the charts. Now, urban music is taking over the world.

If there’s one thing that she knows to be true about making music, evolving with trends, and keeping relevant, it’s to be real, passionate, and dedicated. “I think the most important thing here is to make music with credibility,” she said.
