Daniella Alonso bares all for a good cause
Daniella Alonso has had enough with animal cruelty and one way she’s raising awareness is by baring it all.
In a new PETA campaign, the Latina TV and film actress is seen completely nude while cutting off a wool top from a mannequin. The ad reads: I’d rather go naked than wear wool.
“Most people are anti-fur,” said Alonso, 36. “Well, this fur belongs to sheep—and not wearing wool is a no-brainer for me!”
Like cows and dogs, which are used for leather, sheeps are part of the wool industry.
These gentle animals are punched in the face, jabbed with electric clippers, slammed to the floor and stomped on by workers in the wool industry. As a result of such cruelty, some sheep even die from the abuse.
That’s why the Alonso is standing up for this cause and raising awareness by asking everyone around the world to cut wool out of their closets.
Alonso, who is of Puerto Rican and Peruvian descent, is best known for her role as Nora Clayton in NBC’s “Revolution” and as Dr. Landry de la Cruz on “The Night Shift.”
She’s also starring alongside Kevin James and Eduardo Verastegui in the upcoming comedy “Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2.”
Other Latina stars who’ve bared it all for PETA include Eva Mendez, Roselyn Sanchez and Penelope Cruz.
