Carlos Vives, Marc Anthony excited to tour together | video
Within the last couple of years, the world has seen a wonderful friendship flourish between Carlos Vives and Marc Anthony. The undeniable bond can be seen in their musical collaborations, at awards shows they attend together and now, it can be seen live and in person, as both stars have just announced a U.S. and Canada tour together.
Though they’ve officially reached “Biffles” status, this tour will be the first time that both stars will coexist in a month-long tour called “UNIDO2.”

Both Vives and Anthony are ready to bring their fans a one-of-a-kind spectacle embarking on September 11 in Puerto Rico’s Coliseo.
“For me it’s always been a dream to work with Carlos, not only because of his trajectory, but because of the way he’s managed his career,” Anthony said to the press in Miami Tuesday. “For me it’s the perfect combination, and making the tour official has impacted me.”
Vives also feels honored touring with Anthony, speaking highly of the singer and stating that “he’s the head that keeps the salsa genre in the top.” “As a Colombian and salsero, we’re grateful for his work,” Vives added.
The two GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY winners agreed that what will make this tour one for the books is not only performing their mega hits, but also everything that happens behind-the-scenes.
“We exchange ideas and culture. It’s not only sharing a stage,” Anthony stated. “We sit down and talk, that’s what makes our show special.” Vives emphasized Anthony’s statement by saying that “backstage is where all the ideas are born.”

As the press conference wrapped up, Anthony stated that touring together will only created a greater bond. “Separating after the tour will be hard, but we’ll always find the way to hang out and keep sharing moments,” he said.
