La Arrolladora embrace all their nods at the Latin Billboards
They have many nominations at the 2014 Latin Billboard, and they also have a favorite team for the FIFA World Cup.
La Arrolladora Banda el Limon de Rene Camacho were hyped to talk to VOXXI about their nominations at the Billboard Latin Music awards and what it means to them.
“We are very happy and we are hoping to take all the awards,” Rene Camacho said to VOXXI after the awards rehearsals. “I think they will be equally distributed,” he added.
The group from Sinaloa, Mexico is finalist for seven categories at this year’s Latin Billboard, including some very important ones.
- Hot Latin Songs Artist of the Year, Duo or Group
- Airplay Song of the Year with “El Ruido de Tus Zapatos”
- Top Latin Albums Artist of the Year, Duo or Group
- Regional Mexican Song of the Year with “El Ruido De Tus Zapatos”
- Regional Mexican Songs Artist of the Year, Duo or Group
- Regional Mexican Albums Artist of the Year, Duo or Group
“All are important for us, but I think ‘Group of the Year’ would be a good recognition,” vocalist Jorge Medina said. “‘Song of the Year’ is just as important.”
La Arrolladora will perform their latest single “Mi Segunda Vida” at the Billboard stage, a song Medina describes as “piruja” (slang for someone who cheats).
When asked what team they are rooting for during the FIFA World Cup, their answer was simple: Mexico!
“I would go for Portugal because of Cristiano,” Medina said jokingly.
The Billboard Latin Music awards will air at 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 24th on Telemundo.
