Alejando Sanz Assigns His Own Songs To ‘La Banda’ Finalists! | INTERVIEW
It was a successful week for the 12 finalists of “La Banda,” who individually gave it their all in the Live Rounds of the competition on Sunday night. The next show, however, will be nerve-racking for the boys, whose fate depends on the audience.

Eliminations will now be at the hands of the fans, who get to decide who stays by voting after every show. The judges will also have the opportunity to save one lucky artist, according to Alejandro Sanz. “Yes, we’re going to have the opportunity to save a contestant and the audience will be able to save another contestant,” he told Pulso POP about the eliminations process.

During Sunday’s show on Univision, viewers at home were encouraged to name the forthcoming Latino boy band using the hashtag #NameLaBanda. Sanz, on the other hand, said he’d love the band to be simply called like the show. “I love ‘La Banda.’ I would name them ‘La Banda.’ I’ve always been very bad with names; in fact, I have many nieces and nephews and I call them by numbers,” he joked.
