Giselle Blondet tells the world, ‘I’m 50, so what!?’ | VIDEO
Puerto Rican celebrity Giselle Blondet has one innovative way to celebrate the leap into her 50th year of life –with a new book that embraces her age!
Not only is the television host, actress and businesswoman promoting her second publication in ten years, but she’s also telling the world “I’m 50, so what!?” in her newest venture called “Tengo 50 y Que!?”
In a nearly 200-page book, Blondet gathers the best advice she can give to women who are transitioning from their twenties to their thirties and on.
“It’s kind of a guide for younger women and older, so they can learn how to be themselves and work with their self-esteem,” Blondet told VOXXI. “I think it’s important when you feel good and show the world that you have confidence with yourself.”
In the motivational “Tengo 50 y Que?,” the former “Nuestra Belleza Latina” host talks about self-love, self-acceptance, motherhood, beauty and health, but she’s not alone in her journey.
Three very close friends to Blondet also have featured prologues: Colombian actress Sofia Vergara, Mexican host Alejandra Espinoza and Peruvian journalist Pamela Silva Conde.
“They are three very good friends, I admire them very much,” Blondet said “I wanted to have people that represent different stages in life and they are three great examples.”
Blondet elaborated.
Pamela Silva Conde: “I met Pamela when she was an intern in [Univision’s morning show] ‘Despierta America.’ I like that she inspires young people to pursue their dreams.”
Alejandra Espinoza: “She’s in her 20s and she works very hard. She was very shy at the beginning but she’s doing so well and I think it’s a great example.”
Sofia Vergara: “We are very good friends, I met her when she started in the Hispanic market. She’s authentic and I love that she’s a great mother, she has her priorities clear.”
Her inspirational piece does not only benefit women –or “Las Tonas” (treintonas to noventonas)– but also “Los Tones.”
“Men have been reading the book also and ask me about certain things,” she told VOXXI. “You need to have a healthy self-esteem whether you are a woman or a man.”
Blondet’s motive with her new book is to inspire other women with her own personal experiences. Before finalizing, she said one thing that is very crucial. “I think we need to relax a little more and enjoy life, day by day.”
“Tengo 50 y que?” is already up for grabs and just in time for the holidays.
Giselle will embark a promotional book tour on November 7th in Miami’s Book Fair. She will then visit Orlando, New York, Los Angeles, Puerto Rico and soon México.
