De La Ghetto Almost Called It Quits On New Sensual Single ‘Dices’ | VIDEO
The song was an instant hit in places such as Miami, Puerto Rico and Colombia; in fact, the music video has garnered over 6 million views since its release a month and a half ago. And yet, De La Ghetto admits that “Dices” was not the song he wanted to drop as his latest single.

“I made this song a couple months back in Colombia. I wasn’t going to use it as a single, it was another song” he told PulsoPOP. De La Ghetto, who is also known as De La Geezy, said his change of heart happened when he was mixing the album in Puerto Rico, after the producers suggested he release the song.
“That wasn’t the song I wanted to rock out with and they told me ‘trust us, we know about radio,'” he said. “So, I put it out on iTunes, the radio, the Internet, and boom! It’s a hit worldwide. I’m so happy with what’s going on in my career right now,” he added, stating that a remix of the catchy, sensual and hit record featuring Wisin and Arcangel is in the works.
The single forms part of the Puerto Rican artists’ upcoming studio album “Mi Movimiento,” with 18 fresh tracks, including jams with J Balvin, Nicky Jam, Zion & Lennox.
De La Ghetto, whose real name is Rafael Castillo, said one of the songs he’s most thrilled about is the album’s intro called “Frontamos porque podemos,” featuring Nego Flow, Yandel and Daddy Yankee —a Spanish hip hop song, which he likes to describe as “something different, that’s never been done before.”
“I’m working hard, it’s my baby. I’ve been working on the album for three years,” the 30-year-old artist said of “Mi Movimiento,” which represents his movement.
