ChocQuibTown celebrate 15 years in the biz with ‘El Mismo’ | VIDEO
Working with family can be quite challenging, but for ChocQuibTown it’s what has kept them together in the music scene for 15 years. The musical trio, originally from Choco, Colombia, is composed of Carlos “Tostao” Valencia, his wife Gloria “Goyo” Martinez and her brother Miguel “Slow” Martinez.

“The most important thing is that we know each other, we know what each of us like,” Goyo told PulsoPOP about the advantage of working with her husband and brother. “When it comes to making decisions, we leave it in the hands of the one who knows best,” she added.
After embarking their career in 2000, CQB now celebrates their quinceañera with the release of their fourth studio album “El Mismo,” consisting of fresh new songs with their ever unique Afro-Colombian hip hop flair.
“‘El Mismo’ is a complete album. It’s an album with an urban sound and with rhythms that come from Colombia, but at the same time allows us to travel to a more romantic sound,” Goyo said.
Forming part of their latest production is the enchanting first single “Cuando Te Veo,” which according to Tostao, has five different versions and it’s one the best songs on the album because it has a lot of emotions. He also assured that everyone will have it on replay.
