She’s Mexican, She’s Fierce, She’s Victoria La Mala! [EXCLUSIVE]
If 2Pac and Selena Quintanilla had a baby, it would be Victoria la Mala. That’s her music in a nutshell: Old school influences with a new spirit.
Born in Mexico City, this emerging artist is bringing to the forefront Mexican Regional and Banda music with her soulful vocals, urban swag, and empowering lyrics.

Although her music career has been on the rise since as early as 2012, it wasn’t until 2015 and 2016 that Victoria La Mala took the U.S.-Hispanic market by storm. She was in Billboard’s “Latin Artist to Watch” article, she was in People En Español’s “Hot List,” and she was nominated for a 2016 Premios Juventud.
If that’s not enough, Victoria is also the first Mexican artist signed to Roc Nation—it’s only Jay Z’s entertainment company, no big deal.
With 2017 in full effect, Victoria is still kicking ass!
She’s promoting her latest single and video for Si Va A Doler Que Duela, a heartfelt corta venas song for everyone who’s going through a break up.
The clip was filmed in New York City, where Victoria resides, and tells the story of an engaged couple who suffers an accident. (I’m not here to spoil the video for you, so click below to watch it).
“I’m very excited because with this song I entered the Billboard music charts for the first time,” she told PulsoPOP.
In addition to her new single, Victoria is flaunting her killer dance moves in Univision’s reality show, Mira Quien Baila.
“I’m happy that the production team invited me on the show,” she said. “Honestly, I’m not the best dancer, but I love music. I love to dance at parties and in Zumba.”
As the show wraps up, Victoria stated that her upcoming projects include a new studio album.

“I’m preparing my new album. There’s going to be a lot of surprises, fusion songs, collaborations with artists of other genres, so stay tuned for it,” she concluded.
