In case you missed it, we were backstage and at the show, enjoying what was hands-down one of the best concerts we’ve seen. With that said, here are five things that only went down at the 2018 Mix Live! on June 9 at the American Airlines Arena hosted by Cuban radio hosts Los Pichy Boys
#1 Colombian Power was real
When people think the Colombian urban scene, the first thing that comes to mind are J Balvin, Maluma, and now…Shakira, who’s doing trap. But there’s much more than just these household names and Mix Live let it be known! Piso 21, who kicked off the event, are four passionate artists who fuse urban, pop, and alternative, giving life to their own sound which is captivating AF!

Then there’s Karol G, the only girl act of the night, who is making the rounds as the latest emerging artist on Spotify’s RISE and making people dance with her single Mi Cama Suena.
#2 Enrique Iglesias esta como el vino (although you already knew that)
Initially, Enrique Iglesias was not going to be part of the event, but by a miracle of the universe, he joined the squad! Busy with fatherhood and touring the world, the Spanish singer made a pit stop in Miami and gave his best show ever at Uforia’s Mix Live. He sang hits such as Bailando, Subeme la Radio, and I Like It, further proving that at 43-year-old he’s still got it going on and looks better than ever! Oh, and if you didn’t go to the concert, you totally missed the rain of balloons at the arena during his show.
#3 Nacho dropped many exclusives backstage
Not gonna lie, we were heartbroken when Chino and Nacho announced their split. But, maybe this was the best thing to happen to both of them (Chyno Mirando and Nacho la Criatura were both at the show and slayed their individual shows). As for Nacho, he spilled some juicy beans at the press room, saying that a collaboration with J Balvin was on the way! Not only that, but he was surprised backstage with a Gold, Platinum, and Diamond Record for his hits Bailame and Happy, Happy.
#4 Steve Aoki launched a new song (and is obsessed with Latinos)
Steve Aoki LOVES Latinos. True story. The renowned DJ of Japanese descent does not only pay tribute to Daddy Yankee and Vicente Fernandez during his shows, but he also collaborates with different Latino artists. At Mix Live he busted out with DY’s Gasolina, Dura, and their song together, Azukita, featuring Elvis Crespo and Play-N-Skillz. Backstage, he fessed up that he would LOVE to collaborate with Karol G because honestly, she’s killing it in the game RN.

#5 Farruko made an ‘Inolvidable’ comeback
After being accused and arrested for hiding $52,000 in his shoes and luggage, Farruko made a comeback on stage. At Mix Live, he sang some of his biggest hits such as Krippy Kush, Chillax, and presented his latest single Inolvidable—proving that he’s back and stronger than ever! Following his show, he shared a positive post thanking God for new opportunities.
