Dascha Polanco Reveals Reasons To Watch ‘JOY’ | VIDEO

“JOY” starring Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro keeps making the rounds after its wide theatrical release on Christmas day last year. Based on the true life of Joy Mangano, a self-made millionaire who created her own business empire with products such as the Miracle Mop, the flick earned mixed reviews from critics.

However, “JOY” received two Golden Globe nominations with Lawrence winning Best Actress – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy. She was also nominated for Best Actress at the 2016 Oscars. We hung out with Dominican actress Dascha Polanco, who portrays Jackie, Joy’s best friend in the movie, and she told us all the reasons everyone should watch this empowering flick.
