The Latin Recording Academy has unleashed its 2015 Latin Grammy nominees and in the bunch is Camila Luma, a Puerto Rican singer-songwriter based in Miami, Fla, who receives the first-ever Latin Grammy nod in her blossoming career.

The 21-year-old Boricua is not only beautiful with her chocolate brown hair and dark eyes, but also a very talented songstress and musician. Her 2014 production “Flamboyan” is nominated for Best Pop/Rock Album against the big dogs such as Mana, El Cuarteto de Nos and Moderatto. But that doesn’t intimidate the singer, who feels nothing but excited and overwhelmed with the news.
“I’m very grateful for the Latin Recording Academy for this nomination. It’s an honor for me to share this category with famous artists such as Mana,” she expressed in a statement.
Without further ado, here are some things to know about this up-and-coming Latin Grammy nominee.
1) Her album “Flamboyan” was produced by renowned Venezuelan artist Jose Luis Pardo —former guitarist of Los Amigos Invisibles.
2) The single, of the same name, was written by her.
3) In fact, Luna wrote all the songs on the Latin Grammy-nominated production.
4) The main instruments in the album are her voice and her guitar.
5) You’d be surprised to know that she filmed the music video for “Flamboyan” in San Juan, Puerto Rico and using only her iPhone.
