Calle 13’s Rene Perez seeks inspiration in Siberia for solo project

Calle 13’s frontman Rene Perez has announced an upcoming solo project via Instagram. If you’re one of the 484k followers on the social media platform, then by now you’d know that Perez has been spending the last couple of weeks in Siberia, the Eastern Asian part of Russia.

His photos prove he’s getting a kick out of his visit in the country. He’s also, on the other hand, working hard for his upcoming solo project.

The Puerto Rican urban artist revealed to his fans and followers on his Instagram account that he’s in Siberia finishing up some track for his debut solo project.

Amongst the many photos and videos of his “inspirational-seeking vacation,” is a video of a bonfire, where he stated: “In a Siberian forest, listening, learning and writing. New album coming out as #Residente.”

No statement has been made on what happened to Visitante Calle 13. Though we love Rene, we also love his musical bond with his stepbrother, Eduardo Cabra Martínez. We’re looking forward to Residente’s solo project, as well as more music from Calle 13.
